All deliveries are sent by Royal Mail services. We typically use “Royal Mail Tracked 48”, “Royal Mail Special Delivery” and “Royal Mail International Signed For” services.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 takes 2 to 3 days for delivery, Royal Mail Tracked 24 1 to 2 days
Royal Mail Special Delivery is Next Working Day Delivery (not guaranteed for Saturday delivery on Friday orders)
Royal Mail International Signed For uses Airmail to the destination country and delivery times vary. Typically these are 3 to 7 days within Europe and 7 to 10 days for the rest of the World.
Every order is provided with a tracking number and progress can be monitored via Royal Mail’s Track and Trace facility on their website.
For UK orders you will also receive an email from Royal Mail advising when they expect to make delivery to you so that you can arrange to accept the consignment.
The package will invariably be too large to fit through your letterbox. If there is no one available to accept delivery, the Postman may either leave the package with a neighbour (unless you have opted out of the scheme) or leave a card allowing you to arrange re-delivery or collect at your local Royal Mail Delivery Office for a usual period of upto 14 days (although this is known to vary from office to office). The Delivery Offices are usually open for collections between 6.00 am and 12.00 noon. You will need to take the “Something For You” card and some form of identification showing your name and address. (If you are collecting on behalf of someone else you must take ID belonging to the addressee). Further information is available via Royal Mail here.
PLEASE NOTE if you live in a block of flats or leaving parcels with your neighbour is not suitable then it is advisable to either inform the Royal Mail that no parcels should be left with them. ALTERNATIVELY posting by using a signed service will provide best assurance for delivery. WE DO NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR PARCELS THAT ARE DELIVERED WITH NEIGHBOURS WHICH THEN GO ASTRAY.
Undeliverable Orders:
You must make every effort to take delivery of the consignment. If Royal Mail return packages to us as undeliverable / not collected they make a charge. When this happens it will be necessary for us to charge double our standard postage if you require the order to be re-sent, or deduct the return charge if you require a refund.
In the UK, if you have not opted out of the Royal Mail “Delivery to Neighbour Scheme” by contacting the Royal Mail (we are unable to opt out for you) then a delivery to your neighbour will be classed as a delivery to your agreed representative.
Unfortunately there will be rare occasions when a problem arises due to a delivery being late or missing. We are all human and these problems occur from time to time with all carriers in all countries. When this happens we would ask for your patience. We shall want to resolve the problem just as much as you. There is a process, however, and Royal Mail will not accept a claim for a lost package on UK deliveries until 10 days have elapsed from the date of posting. This period can be up to 30 working days for International orders (depending on the country of delivery). We will make a claim, but Royal Mail will also send you a form to declare that you have not received the package. Once you have returned the form to them we can confirm compensation with Royal Mail and can then either dispatch a replacement order or make a full refund.
